Shoot Preview: Cali Style

This past weekend I spent shooting an editorial at Hermosa Beach with photographer Vanessa Cabrillas and hair stylist Jacob Hernandez. The shoot was meant to embody California beach style — with a fashion forward edge of course The whole shoot came out great and I can not wait to show you the pictures — our goal is to get it published in a print or digital mag, wish us luck!

Here is an extended preview from a bridal shoot I styled for a (now defunct) California bridal magazine in late 2011. I’m so glad to finally be able post these images considering how much hard work went into planning this shoot (since it was my job to book the models and hair/make up artists as well as pull all the wardrobe and style it). It was definitely a learning experience with some really pretty pictures as the result!

This set is from a photo shoot I styled for the new faces at Beltran Agency, shot by one of my favorite photographers to work with, Mariel Hannah — I just love working with her because her style is so pretty and unique, and we have such similar tastes. So when I saw this model, Lina, I knew she was the perfect one to wear this dress and Mariel was the perfect one to shoot it!
