To be honest, these ladies probably aren’t considered fashion icons in the way that Kate Moss or someone of the sort, but they are three of my faves when it comes to celebrity style, just to give you all another taste of my fashion sense. I always like girls who look very put together; I’m not really a fan of the “dumpster chic” look as I call it (I think most would brand it hipster?) so this will be an Olsen free zone!
1. Diane Kruger
She’s not a big star yet by any means; you might not even remember her name, but you probably have seen her in movies like Troy and National Treasure. She’s an ex model, so she’s expected to have pretty good style! On top of that Diane is a spokeswoman for Chanel and they seem to love her over at Vogue and Paris Fashion Week.
What I really love about her is how classy she always looks, especially compared to so many other young starlets (*coughLindsayLohancough*). Her style is super feminine, quite a bit trendy, and I like that she’s not afraid of sparkle and frills. She pulls it off well and it’s never over the top.
2. Rachel Bilson
Smart, clean and classic is how I would describe Rachel’s out and about style. She knows how to look put together but comfortable at he same time, and boy does she accessorize well (love the pop of the turquoise shoes with the middle outfit!). I wouldn’t really call her trendy, I also quite like the way she takes a trend or two once in a while and really makes it her style; not too many women can pull off high waisted denim jeans.
Another thing you have to keep in mind is how short Rachel is; she’s probably about 5′1″ or 5′2″. She pretty much disproves people who constantly say tall women look better in clothing, because she looks a million times better in that gold Monique Lhullier dress than the model does; it fits her like a glove! And very petite girls do have trouble pulling off long gowns at times, but again, the white gown was a perfect choice!
3. Victoria Beckham
Is this a cliche choice? Perhaps, but I really, truly love Posh’s style and I relate to her approach to fashion probably more than any other celebrity. She’s always dressed up, she’s never caught in flats, and even if she’s wearing jeans and a tank top she still manages to look like a stylist put her together.
Beyond that, she’s just fierce; even the way she carries herself screams “FASHION!!” To me her style is the perfect cocktail of sophistication and edginess.
I’ve been so obsessed with the blue and white patterned Cavalli dress ever since I first saw it, and same goes for the white Dolce & Gabanna gown she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards; it’s one of my favorite red carpet moments.
The first outfit, with the long gloves, was just smashing! I wish I could find a full picture.
And only she could pull off that beige Azzedine Alaia dress so well; she always models his clothes well.
Oh and far as her men’s fashion goes, her husband is certainly up there. I wonder if she chooses his clothes?
