Professional Boutique Consulting Services

Today I’m announcing the official launch of my Boutique Consulting Services as well as my Freelance Buying Service. I’ve had a lot of requests for both of these over the years, and now that I’m happy to finally have time to start offering my professional services. Basically, the boutique consulting services goes beyond this blog; it’s one on one, hands on and personalized. Either by phone, video chat or in person I will walk you through and answer any questions you may have about starting your business, help you identify lines, show you how to contact lines for maximum response rate, and even help you build an SEO marketing strategy. In addition to consulting, I’m also offering a separate service – freelance buying, which is great for those who aren’t located near a major market or just need someone with an eye for style!

For rates and more information, visit the Consulting Services page and/or contact me!

Hi Kim! I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog and have found it extremely informative! I have been starting the initial research into starting my own brick & mortar boutique, and have a random question. Some of the brands I’ve been looking into that have applications posted on their websites – I see they are looking for several “industry references”. What exactly does this mean? Is this a line you have already successfully carried? (i.e., to show that you were professional enough to get another line, paid on time, ect.?)

If you could give this answer in one of your future posts, that would be great – I’ll be reading :)

    Thanks!
    Erika

One other question for you – When contacting reps of lines I am interested in carrying, is it better to email or call in your opinion?

    Thanks!!

I would definitely email them first. I usually only call if I don’t get a response ia email.

Oh I almost missed your earlier post! Ive actually never seen that industry references thing; what brand was that for? I think Ive only filled out 1 or 2 applications in the time Ive been doing this. Most lines just send me linesheets after I email them and ask me additional questions via email.
