Indie/Emerging Designers
I’m looking for up and coming fashion designers and clothing labels for a new project. If you’re interested, please email me with a short bit of info about your line and either your lookbook, linesheets or a link to your online website/portfolio. I’ll get back to you with more information. Be prepared to give a short interview (about 5-10 questions).
Contact me at kimberly AT gmail DOT com with “emerging designer” as the subject.

First Things First
My name is Kim, I'm the owner of OohLaLuxe.com boutique and an fashion jack of all trades, so to speak. I started this blog as a guide for aspiring buyers on how to start a fashion boutique, and from there, it merged into a hybrid of a personal blog, guidebook, and a place for me to share my recent work.

Are your products made in china? What about the new designers lines or those of the showrooms, are they made in China?
^A lot of my products are made in LA, like Gypsy and LC. A lot of these emerging designers aren’t made overseas; since they’re indie the designers make the pieces themselves.
So how do you pay them? Cash on advance or other method. What if an item did not sell, do you return it?
^Credit card, but they accept business checks, factoring, cash on delivery, etc. If it doesnt sell youre stuck with it 99% of the time.

Check, credit card or cash on demand usually.
Nope, rarely can you return an item if it didn’t sell. I either sell my merchandise on ebay or you can sell it to an off price retailer.
